There’s something magical about Sweden’s forests and lakes. Even though Sweden’s popularity is on the rise, one can still find solitude outside the holiday season of off the beaten track. Even though the weather can prove to be unpredictable, the end of September and October are excellent months to enjoy the colourful autumn landscapes throughout the country. And you will probably have the trails all for yourself. Highlights of Sweden in Autumn are the coastal areas of Bohuslän and Höga Kusten and the National Parks Tiveden, Store Mosse, Abisko, Färnebofjärden and Skuleskogens. In winter, the northern regions and Lapland are your best bet for some exploration in the snow.
In this collection of still photographs I have tried to grasp the beauty of Sweden in autumn and winter.
